# Choose a puzzle for the kind of thinking you want

> Find a starting point for a puzzle break. Compare word guessing, letter swapping, word grouping and crown-placement logic in Crux for iPhone and iPad.

A daily puzzle break does not have to begin with the same game every time. Some puzzles ask you to search your vocabulary; others ask you to work through a set of rules. Crux puts a ton of daily games in one free app with no ads. Here are a few ways to choose where to start.

## To test a word, start with Room 5×6

[Room 5×6](https://crux.quest/games/room-5x6/): six tries to find a five-letter word, with feedback after each guess.

## To rearrange what is there, try Letter Swap

[Letter Swap](https://crux.quest/games/letter-swap/): trade letters until every row and column spells a word. The crossings matter to more than one word, so read both directions.

## To compare meanings, open Quartet

[Quartet](https://crux.quest/games/quartet/): sort sixteen words into four groups of four. A word can suggest several connections; find the set of groups that works together.

## To reason without words, solve Kings

[Kings](https://crux.quest/games/kings/): one crown in every row, column and region, none touching. Every crown you place rules out other squares. See [how to solve Kings](https://crux.quest/guides/kings).

## To travel, play Atlas Streak

[Atlas Streak](https://crux.quest/games/atlas-streak/): find countries on the map. It also [plays free in your browser](https://crux.quest/atlas/).
